About the Owner:

There is no single approach or modality when it comes to shaping the curious minds of our children who are tomorrow’s future just as there are no one size fits all! Some children are visual learners while others are auditory and some others kinaesthetic.

Our owners Sonia and Ian being parents, fully understand the transition that kids go through at different stages in their lives. They believe the importance of exposing and nurturing young minds to a range of experiences that help tap into their individuality and uniqueness that helps them find their passion be it in Science, Engineering, Maths or Technology.
This is what led them to research into the system of education in Victoria and what they found was a significant issue. One in every four students chooses not to study maths during years 11 and 12, contributing to much lower STEM university enrolment rates than Australia needs. Also Female students are less likely to elect to study maths than male students, leading to a disproportionately low number of females studying STEM qualifications at university. Without changes to the outdated school curriculum, Australia will continue to experience STEM-skills shortfalls. If not addressed local businesses will continue to experience difficulty finding locally skilled STEM resources and these lucrative jobs will continue to be taken by international workers. Moreover, the prediction is that 40 per cent of all jobs that exist today will be replaced by automation.

This finding drove that passion to empower our kids today to be able to contribute to a futuristic global society where Artificial Intelligence, IoT technology, Space tourism, Self- driving automobiles etc… will be a reality.
Sonia’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduation in Special Education and Disability Studies. Ian works for a leading Australian University as a Technology Change Lead and has also has a passion for mentoring, music and sports. He has been involved in numerous technology projects and is currently working on an enterprise-wide Digital transformation program at the university.

It gives them great pleasure to be able to offer these programs to our young kids where they will get a hands on approach to futuristic learning!
